my o2 f4i seems to bog when taking of on first gear.........i have a 954 front end and do to the bars under tripple tree i removed stock air ducts(spelling) and covers so the air box is completly open could that be it...............any info is highly appreciated.....thanks ..

 

mine does the same ****, rode my buddies gsxr6 the other night and it's a damn million times better than mine as far as quick throttle response in 1st

 

Mine did the dsame thing. I sold it and got a 636. I know this isnt much help. Mine was an 02'. Some f4i's are just pigs...

Sshh don't be telling everybody, spare parts are hard to find as it is already. I think kawis should be called the cheater bikes.

 

 

tape off one of your air box holes your getting to much air plus if you haven't done it yet do the clean air mod. it will give better throttle response plus it pulls better in idle. does this happen when the bike is cold or when it gets over like 210

notice it happen more after ive been riding for a while ...so yeah when the temp is higher

 

some one told me the sam thing ....that its geting to much air flow........i seen some guy have a clean f4i and he minimized (spell) both of he vents by about half the size......sure that was the reason

also look on hear and find the clean air mod and do it up its real easy. there is a thread on this form that has pics and step by step instructions its real easy

Put the air tubes back in! You can tape one off, I did that, but then I put the airtubes back on for ***** and giggles and its WAY Better

 

sounds like your vacuum and idle adjustments are off. I'm no expert in this by any means, but my bike went through this when I first got it. blue squid is a tech/mechanic and dialed my **** in... but I'd be willing to bet this could be what is going on with yours.
