will the 03/04 top tripple fit on an 08 zx6r

 

I know 03-04 are NOT compatible with 05-06, the center hole is too big on the newer one. If the 05-06 are the same as 08, let me know I have one att he warehouse.

 

i really wanted to get an 03/04 cuz i wanted to mount dirt bars on it and the 05 and newer all have the queer *** design for the top tripple and it looks like it would be a bitch to mount

 

I know that the center hole is smaller on the 03-04. but the fork tubes are the same diameter. You could buy the 03-04 top triple and have a local machine shop bore the hole out to fit your head set.

 

seems like alot of work and with my budget im pretty well fucked there....i think im just going to drill the holes in my 08 tripple and mount the clamps and cut the center of the bars out cuz the mounts will be to far apart and the bend in the bars will hit the clamp.... if you got all that

 

Duct tape and JB wled them on! It's a stunt bike!

 

I personally don't like DB bars. I run 0 degree clip ons and have them cropped out.

 

lol yea i do that with everything else....but the bars might be a little sketchy

 

i just machined adaptors for my 06 tripple, was pretty easy to make. I might end up doin the 03-04 tripple tho, good idea.

 

just get a hhd triple for your 636...
