Ive found several online all look pretty similar, but I want to make sure I order one that will fit really well, mainly dont want to have to do much modding of my tail and I definately want to keep my brake light any suggestions?

 

just get a round bar if you want it clean

 

i have a bran new in the box FI 12bar for an 05 gixxer... not sure if it will fit 06. Prolly not

 

take the turn signals out, you can run the 12 bar through them

Go with impaktech, i own an 06 600 and have an SI round bar and i had to mod the rear plastics, cut a couple inchs off the back. and i had to brace up the upper subframe, impaktech braces ur subframe nicely
and u should order a cage from him too. with gsxr its kind of a must

 

would the sub frame brace replace my rear passenger pegs?

 

no its built into the bar,just reinforces and acts as a 12/round/scrape bar

 

u are thinking of a subframe cage. and for that i would get OMR ... not sure if he makes em for the 1000 tho.. just dont buy one with solid pegs

 

is it better to learn to scrape on a flat bar? can I put a flat bar inbetween my turn signals and my tail so I dont lose my signals or brake light? Im looking through a lot of pictures but hard to see good clear ones, and a lot of stuff on here is ghetto rigged.
