50cc v. 80cc
Re: 50cc v. 80cc
i just found a mint 80 in a shed that has been abandoned for atleat 3 years. threw new gas in it and it started right up. being an 80 it obviously has more *** than my buds 50's. just curious as to y ppl dont go for more ***.
Re: 50cc v. 80cc
imo people get a 50 because its the 'goofy small fun' bike
If you think to yourself "man screw a 50, lets get the next size up, a 80" then whats next? "man screw this 80, lets get a 110" "oh man **** the 110, onto the 150" "ahh screw it get the 450 and call it done"
but are you talking about a xr80? If so, the reason they aren't popular is there isn't a huge aftermarket parts world. Not a ton of options for the motor other then getting a crf100 motor with like a 120 big bore kit...
Not a lot of stunt parts
50's are just the toys of the bike world
and I also gaurantee my 50 would smoke your 80 unless it has extensive aftermarker parts.. But if you don't even have a big bore kit, I doubt it.
My 50 beat my friends 100 time after time with equal weight riders, and my 50 keeps up with my 150f but my 150f slightly pulls away
stage 3 88 kit, mildly ported race head, 20mm carb, 4 speed tranny, IRK kit, stock gearing.. And if thats not enough just wait tell I get my 117 stroker and manual clutch
