2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

Whos rockin them and whats the verdict...I'm about to get my hands on one soon like tomorrow and need input. Search came up with Durty not liking the 07 and thats pretty much it...no major negatives.

The motor mounts look weaker than the 03-06 636 from what I saw in person

yep the motor mounts are long as hell so they crack easy and they don't have near the power any of the 636's have but i rode apefire26"s and it was ok but i probably wouldn't stunt one

Not buying. I'm trading my 600rr for it straight up. Sprocket should fix the bottom end...frame is what im kinda sketchy about-the hanger that comes down to the motor mounts is really narrow and that worries me a little. Maybe a Tygershark would absorb some of the impact pretty good-i don't plan on running this thing off a bridge, but i'd rather replace the cage BEFORE the frame...i may be asking for too much tho......lol

Re: 2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

i had one and wrecked it a lot. wrecked it hard twice on the street even. one time in the parking lot wrecked so hard it messed up the si cage i had real bad. motor mounts never broke and never had a problem with the bike running. i ended up turning it in to insurance cause i owed to much on it. lol. i loved the bike though.

Re: 2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

king tony ended up bracing his frame after he broke it i think i saw on here. id weld some braces for those mounts just to be safe. he also used a FI cage i believe, might have added to the problem

Mine has been holding up decent, flipping a stoppie messed my sub frame up but thats not too bad. The low end is bad, but you will get used to it, just don't try to save a circle when the front end drops too much.......a hand full of gas will do just enough for you to highside.

Re: 2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

I been stunting my 07 for for a little while now, I'm far from good, trying to get cicrcles at 1&1/2 and have high/low sided it several times and 1 pancake with a SI cage, no problems or signs of any yet. Haven't riden a 636 so can't compare low end. But i've geared it 15/60 and piston slap/bog if I fight high idle with brake mainly in my circle attempts. Have gone 14/60, but do ride it on the road also.

Re: 2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

ive destroyed 2..

the tyger shark works great on them, and u do have to gear em lower than you would on a 636. i run 2 down 11 up and its still kinda gutless down low. but its great for stoppies and burnouts. very light, and easy to work on .

love the bike

Picked her up tonight. If my buddy finds any 05 or 06 models at the auction in 3 weeks I might trade her in again but for now:

Re: 2007 Ninja ZX6R Input Needed

did a half *** job on my friends, alot of the harness went under the seat and routed under the tank by the frame on the right side. some of it was still exposed to the right side though.
