they also make a rebuild kit. do you know if the inner rebuild kit will fix this problem? not sure what all parts come with this. it looks like you can pop out the plunger???

yah the rebuild kit replaces the whole thing in there, they were too hard to find for me so i just did the jb weld. pull off the rubber boot that the adjuster goes into and youll see up in there a retaining clip thats a pain in the *** to get out unless u have those plyers that are made for that **** which i didnt so it was a screw driver and alot of cursing for me. pop that clip out and plunger and little hat thing comes out. i broke the hat thing that holds the plunger in so i just jb welded it up and let it dry and put it back in. no problems.

yeah the bike tipped over in my truck. handle bar hit right above my bed so it forced the handbrake lever outwards! my brembo did the splits!!! ripped it right out of the top hat!!!

DId the exact same thing but with the back of my hand crashing, **** did that hurt...The shitty part is when you do that all you really need is a new top hat, but Brembo only sells it in the rebuild kit

Like I said the hardest part is pushing the tiny cotter pin out to get the adjustment **** off the push rod. You can even do the top hat swap without having to rebleed it if you keep the pistion from comming out of the bore, you have to hold it all in once you remove the top hat or else it will pop right out and spill your fluid everywhere...Its easier if you remove it but then your lookin at rebleeding...

You need something pretty much the exact same diameter as the pin to push it out, or else youll just deform the end and make it impossible to remove...

Pretty sure he's using it for front brakes, and 16 for the hb..... at least that's what I use.

Re: anyone have a brembo 19x18 master? needing one overnighted!

im using the 19x18 for my handbrake. i seem to like it very well. its not the strongest pulling hand brake but works good. seems like when i use something that gets a lot of pull i always stall it out. i want to try the 16x18, i hear its gangsta too!

the difference is 19x18 is made for dual piston, the 16x18 is made for single piston. so really the 16 is probably better for HB.
