Re: My first whoolies!! :D

Go to HAI's website (there is usually a link up above) to get a easy pull lever. I got the MSR Pro Raptor on both my bikes and love 'em! Also here is the link to the clutch arm mod:

https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/2-s...arm-mod-3.html

And where is your tire pressure at? I run 30-35 psi on my 929 (street bike) and about 15-20 psi on my f4i (lot bike). The low pressure helps with keeping the bike straight and gives you more grip when poppin the clutch.

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

I know the mod is for the f4i but its gotta be pretty similar to the 636.

yeah watch those slippery tires when your learning drifting and burnouts too sometimes you have to give your Tires a break espically if your in an area like we are in so cal (meaning middle of the day the pavement in a paved lot is a million degreese) Its all learning little bits and pieces about how your bike works from the clutch to the break to your body balancing to running out of gas from practicing too long lol. Take it easy man im learning too and this is something everyone learns good luck man

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

Bike looks good man. Subcages are cool, I only rock one cuz im huge and dont trust those lil shitty stock passenger pegs.

You should try to get another rider out with you or at least a friend that has nothing to do and wants to watch. It sucks tryin to load your bike into the back of your truck by yourself after wraping and breaking a few fingers. (I would know)

Safety 1st!

yea yea. i read that dude's comment, hooked up my old crt monitor, put a few rounds through it, then switched back and kept on readin.

But I'm kinda havin trouble now. I turned my idol up to 3, roll in between 8-14mph, rev to between 6-8k and drop the clutch, but I still feel like my bike only comes up a foot or so. the lot i ride in isnt too big, so I cant hold them for long, but in most vids i see the bike just pops up. (fyi I like a small lot it makes me learn slower speed first :YEAH) One i get to over 15mph it comes up a bit farther, but Id like to have it go higher at slower speeds. I feel like i may not be dropping the clutch right cause i have this nasty blister on my upper palm now (IVE GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!1!1!!!) but i dunno. Maybe too much weight on the hands? I dont think so because i make sure every time to have my weight on my feet. This kinda stinks, I want to make more progress, anyone got some

The only thing I can think of is maybe you are letting off the throttle a lil to much after poppin the clutch. I learned wheelies on the freeway in 2nd gear, I would pre-load and pop the clutch and when the bike came up i'd completely let off the gas and catch BP with the brake then back on the throttle. When I started 1st gear, I did the same and my bike would come about 1-2 feet off the ground then bogg and slam back down. (this wouldnt happen on the freeway cuz I was going so fast) So I started poppin the clutch at about 5mph and not letting off all the way like I did on the freeway and that fixed everything. Try poppin the clutch and as the bike comes up dont cut the throttle off entirely, just enuff to not loop out. Its tricky at 1st man. So many things to do at 1 time. I used to get really upset and frustrated, but I started thinking like this.... Did you pop out your mom's junk and instantly go into your pimp walk? No, it took time to get your strut on lock, and now the last thing that will ever cross your mind is "So... how do I walk again!?" Wheelies are the same thing, one day you cant do them, so you practice practice practice, then all of a sudden, you get it, it all comes together, and you finally understand it. Then a few weeks later its second nature and you look back and laugh at the times you struggled learning.

I think you got a lot of good advice from us (which never happens with the good old "how do I wheelie?" question on stuntlife) now all you can do is practice and trial and error. And im 50/50 about the HB. I learned with the foot brake but know people that learned with the HB. Either way if you wanna go anywhere in this sport you are gunna have to have both on lock so whatever. And that really matters is that you are covering a rear brake, no matter which one. Holy **** im drunk and writing a book, LOL, go ******* practice!!! Ill shut up now!

Yea totally dude, seat time is #1 and I'm sure as hell doin alot of it. Before work, after work, in between classes. I'm just takin advantage of the help while it's here, making sure I'm not sabotaging myself and learning bad habits. I realize I've only been at this **** for three days, so I'm not like "NEED BP NOW ARGH!" just making sure I am taking the proper steps to achieve my goal safely. I'm big on not ******* myself up.

awesome. I love that bike. now set up ur camera and put it on self timer or video and voila u can see how ur doin and what you need to change to improve. Are you looking at your forks when u whoolie? are they parallel to the ground at minimum? keep it up!
