929/954 forks problem!!

I have 929 forks in my f4 and have a problem!!

If i ride fast and do hard braking fork works good, but if I do endos or ride slowly and push brake a little, my bike shakes..

I have just changed oil and sleeves. Now fork is a little bit better, but still shaking.

Brake pads and disks are new so problem is not there.

What oil du you use and how much?

Please give me some tips..

First off do you have a dampener. second check your head bearings if they are warn you will get a shake at low speed. Last check your wheel bearings those will viberate at speed.

if your getting head shake, not slapper type but a frontend shake...it's one of two things..1: the bushings in the forks are bad.. 2: the stem bearings are loose or the races moved in the frame...both have happened to me first hand...my 9 hundo used to eat stem bearings.. after about 2 sets of bearings the races would oblong my frame then i was fucked..

Re: 929/954 forks problem!!

ya, i would also check the true of the front rim. that could lead to it.

the stem bearings sounds right on it though. that would be my first area of concentration.

f4i and 929 bearings should be the same. well, not exactly the same, but their dimensions are the same so both will work just fine. i would stay away from 954 bearings though....they had a recall on them and i just don't rust any for the 954 anymore.

are u sure your triple trees are tightened down? if they r, i recomend making sure every bearing, nut, or bolt is tightened and checked.
