im rebuilding my bike and i went ahead and flipped the top triple, but now i cant find anywhere to mount my key!

where did you put yours? its an 05 636

 

I know people some times mount them by or on their rear shocks....

I remember Ryan S saying he has done it before

i mounted mine on right side of bike right under subframe near rear shock works PERFECT

 

broke my key in half jumping to high chair so i need sscrew driver . no need to move it just cut it in half and stick the bottom peace in the ign and use the other half to turn it on or off and put the peace back in your pocket and you good to go

 

Somebody on here with an f4i took all their tumblers out, so they can turn the bike on and just pull the key out of the ignition.

 

yea but some people may want to be able to take a key out so other people can't just take their bike weather it be on the street or in the lot

 

Suppose so, I had mine zip tied under the fuel pump and would reach through the subframe to turn it on. I like the idea of around the rear shock. I may take a look at that.

 

i just grinded off the top of my key so its flush and still usable

 

i know this is a 03-04 636 but its basically the mount by the rear shock setup.ive seen on the 05-06 of ppl drilling a hole through one of the ram air covers(if u run full fairings) and mounting it underneath with the key stickin up,or if you have a racing 905 fairing stay u can mount it in the middle of stay
