yea it fell from twelve. I hit the scrape bar and the rear peg folded and i slide off . It was going slow enough for me to walk next to it ....just couldnt save it.... its a heavy 954RR

 

That is standard for a 905...I watched that happen 2 times to buddies...hence NO 905 cages ever for us!

Our FI cages would fall many times and no problem....Sick Innov....Are REALLY strong....IMO

 

Is everyone running FI cages? Are these the best 4 the abuse?

No...Everyone runs their personal preference....I like and have always had great luck with FI......I like them....I had a 905 and a few others I ride with and 905 ALWAYS broke....

I watched Powers cages just BEND FRAMES IN...


SI sick innivations - I have nver EVER heard of any negative issues...

I have never tried or seen any others in action!

PS....on the 636 FI is NOT recommended.....I watched too many case covers crack!!!!

 

i got a powers on my 954
i broke a cage (my fault big time) i scraped at about twenty and my foot missed my brake, in a really shitty lot. it fell directly over from 12 hit a hole in the pavement and bent the topbar of my cage. took it to matt they hooked me up with a new cage (both sides) for nothing. and they put it on. such nice guys

 

Nothing new 905 has been makin **** since time....

Heres my buddies 905 after 1 drop from 12, that cage was like 2 days old....I know its better then nothing but they cost the same as all other cages but last for only one big drop...

 

I e-mailed 905 pictures and what i thought a nice letter. No Response yet Didnt demand replacing just asked if they could HELP and if not well guess ill be buying a new cage .... leaning towards FI or SI

 

905 is a failure from the factory.. mine sucks.. my bike always ****** rolls over onto the tank.. i added bars to it to help but it still rolls if i lay it down hard

 

buy a powers or a SI

 

Tygershark man, or madfab. But madfab is just a local guy around here.

 

i m not surprised about that cage ..if i remember this correct...herb had same as your bike and crash cage ..same thing happened.

i would recommend you to get SI Sickinnovations.com....SI will be more happy to take any abuse. you wont be disappointed with SI.

 

Thats nothing new for 905, ghabage!

 

i had real good luck with my 905 on my 750, numerous hard falls and never bent or broke untill i dumped it on the street at almost 50mph and the bike launched like 6 feet in the air, even then i was still lucky that when it did break it didnt damage my engine cases at all. i run Sick Innovations now and am really impressed by their cages. much better than 905. i wouldnt run anything but a Sick Innovations or maybe a Tygershark.

 

put an si on it, end of story! but you should always try to get your front wheel on the ground before the bike falls. a fall from 12 would be hard on any cage. and make sure you tighten your cage before you practice.

 

That sucks, I got a 905 just a little while back, atleast I know what I am in for. That was from 12 fall, more than likely thats how mine will be put to use, I can only go straght right now LOL.
