What kind is it ? Is it a real tiny pocket , a cag , or a midi (like the size of a x-18 super) .

30:1 is a pretty good ratio to go with. 50:1 is pretty lean. Check the manual and see what it suggest. Use good 2 stroke oil cause the cheap **** fouls plugs more easily. It should say on the bottle of oil how many oz. per gallon of gas to get the ratio you want.

Go to the parts store, you can buy a 6 pack of 2 stroke oil. They are small cans, generally it is one of those small cans of oil to 1 gallon of gas. That's generally 40:1 and the can is like 16oz or something.

mine said 25 to 1 for 5 tank fulls then 50 to 1 for all tanks after that, 25 to 1 is a gallon of gas and 150ml of oil and 50 to 1 is i gallon fuel and 75ml of oil, make sure you use premium fuel

wow...alot of different replies...but mostly 50:1 so thats what we're probably gonna go with.
Crazy D, its a pocket bike..NOT like the 110cc x-18..alot smaller.
the seller said he hasn't turned it on it almost 1.5 years....does that make a difference in the starting ratio?
p.s. we have no idea what the make/model of the bike is and there is not owner's manual.

I was trying to see what you have . My x1 is the size of a x18 , and i have a 50cc 2stroke motor .
My engine is a very slow , low hp motor . And it is 32 to 1 .
Some 2 strokes put out as much as 8 to 15 hp . So friction and heat is your main concern .
If you run 50 to 1 , it probably will work and run fast , but you WILL NOT notice the damage you are doing to the engine because of too little oil . Your motor will burn up from the inside if it is the wrong mix .
I would rather start out at 32 to 1 or even 40 to1 . If it smokes a little it's ok , at least the top end is getting lubrication
If it hasn't been started in a year , you might have carb problems if he still had old mixed fuel in the fuel system .
The cylinder wall might be rusty too .
Being 1.5 years without it starting , shouldn't really matter with fuel mixture . If it is gonna start , it is gonna start .
Hopefully nothing has seized up inside from rust . If it kicks over , or is a pull start , you should know right away if it won't turn over .
Pull the spark plug and clean it . Maybe put a tiny bit of oil down the hole to lube the sides of the cylinder .

Re: how do i mix gas/oil in 50cc?
50:1 seems pretty lean. Just remember the oil in the gas is lubing ur entire top end. If theres not enough oil ur going to wear **** out faster or even blow. Call the manuf. and see what they suggest. Ive always ran 32:1 in all my bikes and quads. Ran 40:1 a few times and didnt really notice too much of a difference in preformance. Find the name on the motor and do a net search, get a number and make a phone call. Good luck!
