Need Help!!

My name is Brian, and I am new to stunting. I have rode some pretty good wheelies but they are not very long. I was starting to ride them good, but i wrecked on 10-01-06 and messed my knee up pretty bad. i was throttling them up. But I was wondering on if I gear my bike will it help me ride wheelies better. And what gearing should I use?

Re: Need Help!!

if u weren't riding them far, that means you're not at balance point. Learn to clutch wheelies, it's safer, and better. do staggered stand ups. and apply some brake pressure to keep from looping. learn to be smooth on the throttle.

Re: Need Help!!

I can clutch them up in 2nd, but i don't ride them very long. A friend told me to go -1 tooth down in the front to give the bike more torque for 2nd and 3rd wheelies is this true..

Re: Need Help!!

Your not doing very good wheelies if you cant get them to go far. Like everyone is saying get to your balance point and ride the he** out of those wheelies and go as far as you want. Gearing a bike without practicing first will only hinder your capability to understand why you cant keep them up very long. Good luck to ya!

Re: Need Help!!

You gotta remove the front forks and wheel to do them really long. Get rid of all that extra weight up there and it kinda mentally forces you to stay up. Here ya go.. Oh and a video camera is a must to. It will also help out a lot and tell your friend that is taping you to put the footage up on SL when your through!
