Kawi z1000

Why doesnt anyone stunt them? They look damn near stuntable, stock. And they are dirt cheap. Am I missing something besides the fact thery're old fogie bikes?

Re: Kawi z1000

I actually got a chance to ride one, and i seriously loved it. Ithink it would make a bad *** stunt bike if you wanted to fab up all your own parts for it. I don't know what the dry weight on it was, but it definatly didn't feel that heavy. Had a pretty good balance point. I *think* but don't remember for sure, but isn't it carburated? Other wise the only problem i would see is buyin parts for it....

Re: Kawi z1000

Guy came out on a mint z1000 last week to our spot and looped the *****. Fell off and the bike kept going until it fell over.

Armenian: "Did you use your rear brake at all??"
Z1000 guy: "huh?"
Armenian: "DOH!! LOL"

Re: Kawi z1000

I had one. Great torque. As someone above said, just get a 905 cage or have someone custom-make one for you. Same motor as a ZX9, only bored out a bit more and fuel injected. The pegs are one big assembly, so you don't want to break them or you'd have to buy a new one from the dealer (very expensive) since so few of them are around. They come factory with dirtbike bars and they have a lot of interchangeable parts with 636's and ZX9's. They are a bit heavy though. I think dry weight is around 437 lbs -- about 65 pounds more than an F4i. I loved mine. It's probalby one of the most comfortable bikes around. Other than crappy sit-downs, I never stunted it, so I can't comment on how stuntable it is.

Re: Kawi z1000

I thought I remembered some dude murderin one in a video a while back....some cats from the East Coast.....Carolina's maybe...Out On Parole? Anyone else remember.

Anyways, that dude was pullin slow *****, long(er) stoppies, tank tricks, etc...

I've always liked 'em, but I'm a Honda guy, so I never got one.

Wasn't there a french guy with a nice special painted ziggie ?? Red and blue, a bit like Darius Bike... He does circels, and all the sick combo's and stuff...

So the bike can be stunted ! :YAEH And about the weight, **** that, E-dub stunted a F3, and I do to, those things are heavy as F*ck, but if you get used to it, it doesn't bother you at all... just my
