NewB need help PLEASE? auto clutch

Alright I know this might sound like a stupid question... I asked my pops the same thing and he really did not know.... I just installed the big bore kit on my bike and know sometimes when i kick it over it seems like it does not catch.. is this just because of the auto clutch? is it slipping or something? so what I have been doing is just take the kick starter down slow till it catches and then kick it.... any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated

try adjusting the clutch adjustment screw on the right side cover 1/2 turn in at a time.

It's the clutch. Do as Onewheelneil did and get the HD clutch kit. Seems to be a common problem when upgrading to a 88.

Free Clutch Repair

loosen the lock nut on the clutch cover, turn the screw in the center of the nut counter clockwise till it touches, then turn it clock wise an 1/8th turn, with a flat blade screwdriver. now lock down the nut keeping the center screw in place.
you will now stop slipping your clutch , no money needed.
