If you can use 2nd pop it up lean back cover the rear break.... takes a bit of time but is easy Just cover the break then play with 1st but its short gear...worse case if thats not workin drag ur feet get the front wheel height down then pick up ur feet as you go...one at a time but it just takes a bit of practice...

Yes in 2nd get in the torque spot where it starts to pull then let off pop it, lean back...cover the rear break...it takes time so this will and may take a while and a few rear fenders...carry a bit of speed makes it a bit easier...
and wear gear...even though its a fiddy it will **** u up....gloves esp..

Re: wheelies???????
get going in first then pop it in to second on the gas sit back and cover the rear break.the more gas on the shift the higher it will go it like clutching it up.
ps: pick your self up a few new fenders to. or a FI bar.

Re: wheelies???????
50's don't have much torque when you're up in revs. they'll throttle up easy just as long as you go slow. Cover your back brake and go from there. Start in first. You'll learn better brake control with sitdowns. I learned circles easier tho staggered.
Re: wheelies???????
Do not pop it in to second! you will flip. 50s will go up in first or second w/ gas and body position. shifting should be done on steady throttle. Use first gear to get started, and like they said you can keep your feet down if your really having trouble at first.

Re: wheelies???????
I too got a pit bike (evo 140) to practise me wheelies. The only gear I use is 2nd. I started with power up. But clutch it up from a stand still is much much better. I am getting a lot better and and can keep it up a lot longer. I am most happy sit down but I also spend some practice on staggered. I also make time to practise poping up then using brake to lower. Because my natural reaction is to chop the throttle when too high, this is bad and has been holding me back. Hope this helps m8.
Re: wheelies???????
start in first gear from a stop. drag your feet on the ground in order to get used to BP and learning your body how to control side to side movement. you should use very little once your up.
once you get the hang of that and start going relitively straight pick your feet up.
2nd gear: put your *** on the back of teh seat where you feel it curve up. cover your rear brake. give it throttle, and when you feel the bike start to pull, lean back. cover your rear brake. once your front wheel is up ease off on the throttle.
you'll get used to it.
keep your arms straight and lean back. ppl like to lean forward when they are first starting.
you'll get it

Re: wheelies???????
1st or 2nd works. I use 2nd for fast stuff and the throttle is less touchy. Ride higher up in the RPM and yank the front end up while giving throttle. Hard to learn, but all it takes is practice in the end.
Re: wheelies???????
Just bought an 05 crf50 been practicing getting it up I like to go to the limit in first then pop it into second and it just comes up. My problem was it wouldnt ride out so I finally leaned my *** back, looped it, and ate ****. For as many times as Ive read cover the rear brake I thought I would but all I did was scream ohhh **** and end up on the ground. It was fun non the less
cover the rear brake
cover the rear brake
Re: wheelies???????
Covering rear brake does nothing... pressing it does! Everyone learns that the hard way at least once. Also your going to have to apply more force to the brake at 3rd gear pinned wheelies than 1st gear... Learned that the hard way too. It's all fun though and you don't learn unless you fall, just pick yourself up and correct your mistakes. it's all practise and seat time. you'll have it down quick. First gear is good speed and if you loop your able to jog behind it like bicycle, but they are harder to balance left to right. second gear is easier to balance but if you loop be prepared to start runnin or bail your 50 will take more damage than you. LOL
Re: wheelies???????
Remember that there is a delay from the time you give it gas until the time it actually takes off. On my stocker I sometimes have to remind myself that. What I like to do is floor it and at the same time bounce down on the handlebars then lean back. The timing seems to be perfect for me. Works good enough to get highchairs up in 3rd gear.
