Is there an 'illegal' sprocket size?

Is there an illegal sprocket size to ride with on the streets? sounds stupid but im just curious

If your riding a motorcycle most of the time you dont have to worry about what "illegal"

But with your sprocket ?? Id say as long as you can ride 45mph your ok.... IDK for sure tho I dont think I would street anything over 7-10 up

From past experience with cars and trucks, I would say that the only way a sprocket would be illegal is if it was bigger than the wheel, so that if you were to get a flat tire it would damage the road. So that obviously would not be an issue as the biggest sprocket out there is 74 tooth and its not bigger than a 17in wheel.

I've never seen a DOT stamp on a sprocket...

anything not dot is illegal!!! but does law enfore it? not most of the time unless u own a rice rocket which is bull ****. my buddy in is perfectly clean running supra is dealing with this drama **** right now.. making him put his car back to stock. completly. off with the single turbo. fmic intake everything!!! he takes it in. and the guy says ur clutch is making noise, it sounds unsafe. i fail you. !!

but yea. i cant imagine a cop saying your sprocket looks too big..

74 toof, not as big as the rear wheel. But its pretty damn close...=-)

Umm thats like a 16 inch sprocket on a 17 inch wheel....Gotta love the 954 and the F4izzy...=-)
