Q: How long should I wait to change pipe on my new bike?

AND any opinions on what type would be good for my 03 R6?
Do I have to wait til it is broke in good?

change 'em up as soon as you would like. I waited till mine got all crunchy on my Tiller b4 I changed them out. As far as make or brand what kind of $ are you willing to spend?

I have a micron on mine and I like the way it sounds, it's not too loud but just loud enough where you can hear it. And I think it looks nice also. Just my

computer

When you put on your new pipe, turn off the bike and take the negative terminal off the battery. let it sit for about a minute. then start it WITHOUT TOUCHING THE THROTTLE and let it idle for about 15 minutes. The computer will remap itself. Then your ready to roll.

Oh well...no need to lie...it looks and sounds good (or at least I think so)! Maybe if you're not standing next to me when someone asks me, I can still pull it off, hehe. :p

You just wanted to come up with a line so you can use that little cop guy!! LOL

Now that we've trashed Sha Nay Nay's thread....my brother commented and said "if you can afford an Akrapovic....got for it". They ARE nice!! Here is the link for the slip-on:

Oh but isn't your bike an '03?! That only fits 99-02. Well it'll give you an idea on what it costs. Good Luck!

yeah I like them! I looked yesterday I like the carbon fiber one, but I think it will work on my 03. But I am going to talk to some more people and make sure.

Hey if the weather is nice I am going to come down there tonight. Probably go to Fudd's and downtown....are you gonna be around Princess?

forget those pipes...

what you realy need is a MIG high pipe, they look the best and they sound the best too! and prices are resonable, so go to EUROBIKES.COM and click on the MIG link, you won't regret.

Yes I will be. I'll be looking for you! If we go eat first, we will probably get there around 10ish. I'll be with my brother, he's got an '02 F4i, it's all black with grey Honda stickers. And of coarse my bike is white and red ('99 R6). See ya there!!

Just my ,

If your looking for power, go with the Akrapovic. Its more costly but it make the best horsepower for the R6.

If your going for looks, go with the Micron. They are fairly priced, look good and sound great.

If your aim is just to get a pipe, go with the Yosh. Again good price and nice sound.

And if you want loud, go with a D&D. Unbelievably loud, looks cheap, and will probably fall apart on you. J/K

Again just my ,

954john

P.S. I have a full system Micron with a Titanium canister.
