yea i noticed that right foot slippin off the brake first, i was reviewin the vids + some other footage and realized every time i dropped it i was real choppy on the throttle. but i was getting'em down pretty good today.

 

great job for your first few scrapes....just remember to always pull in that clutch when you dont ride away after the scrape or the bike will run away from you. pretty soon those little drops wont happen because you'll be so used to savin em. keep up the good work.

 

throttle seemed ok, just wasnt bringing it back off the bar, or pulling the clutch in soon enough. instead of trying to scrape practice taping the bar, and bringing it off the bar

nah man, you're giving bad advice, there isn't any reason why you shouldn't be riding away or have to be saving anything, and the bike won't run away from you if your idles turned down, like it should be when you're learning scrapes.

D. Stunter..you're getting ahead of yourself by pulling the clutch in....you want compression braking to help bring you back up. you can't get that when your clutch is in, that's why you get stuck back there. set your idle at 1k(sounds like it is) to get more compression braking, and get up a few more mph....you need to work on just dipping way back, slowing it down, and getting back up to bp right now. once you can dip back, tap, go back up to bp, bring it back and tap it again in the same wheelie, then start trying to sit it on the bar and pull the clutch in. until then the clutch is just fukcing you up. pulling the clutch in and then trying to set it down is basicly like trying to learn to coaster and scrape at the same time

edit: maybe you're not pulling the clutch in, the time it revved way up when you dropped it made me think that you were. maybe you just need a little more speed to smooth things out. haha, I just realized you said in your first post you don't have enough speed, that's the ticket. good **** man

ya man for sure try faster scrapes just bumpin the bar and commin off... it will help u with the concept of scrapes and what its like controlling being on the bar...try to get like 2 or 3 taps on the bar in one pass....by then ur subframe should be all fuked up so u can gangster mash it on the bar and try a long scrape

ya I sounded like a d!ck in that above post. what I was getting at was not to pull in the clutch while your scraping, if you're talking about the best way to bail at a real slow speed like that, definately pull in the clutch. but if you're going fast enough you'll never get in a position like that. cause you get more comp brake at speed as long as you don't pull in the clutch.,,,that's the point I was trying to make, but sounds like you figured the speed thing out. let's see the new footage!

 

lookin good, dont seam choppy really, and the scrapes are smooth. need a little more brake gettin of the bar back to bp. even the crashes aint that bad, good work and post up vids of good one's:YEAH

 

Hell yea man, i just leanred scrapes about a month and a half ago and if you keep at it it turns into nothing. Good Progress. Hell just last saturday since we couldnt make it to starboys we went out and killed streets. First time i ever scraped on the street too. It was a blast, having about 20 non stunters behind our crew and were just tearing it up. Then i rip it back and bleed off soem speed, spark up the road, and clutch out and keep it at BP. The looks on their non-helmet wearing asses were priceless!

BTW: how long have you been stunt riding?
