Draft

A guy I work with today is getting ready to leave the Marines after 8 years, but has been put on a special assignment to go after Draft dodgers or people who try to flee. He told us that in the next couple of weeks the government is going to re-institute the draft for single guys 18-24 and if they do not get enough guys they will raise the age to 18-30. He also said the government is looking at drafting 50,000 guys from Florida. I'm not sure if his story holds water, but damn this could suck for all of us!!!! I hope it's

Re: Draft

wheres my BS flag. the military is overstaffed as it is, they look for nearly every reason to disqualify a recruit, and they have to let go of 20k people this year, and not only that, but as of this april there was only like 2000 job openings left.

ya, we have a winner. people that aren't in the military shouldn't even talk about war stuff. it makes me laugh, they hear one thing from anyone in uniform and instantly it's the word of god. sorry, but not even us wearing uniforms know what's going to happen until it does. Plus, like it's known, the military has plenty of numbers. Actually numbers are at an all time high.

Until i hear something come out of someone's mouth publicly from washington on national TV..it's all just "my baby's mamma's third cousin's little brother said"

Re: Draft

I'm a Air Force Reserve recruiter in Tulsa. The age to get in with us is 18-35 if you've never been in the military. That hasn't changed in years. There will be no draft.

Just think beej, if the army came to your door you could donate your bionic leg for research! I can see it now...goodbye 6 million dollar man hello $60,000 leg. Titanium reinforced, extra screws and pins but bone stimulator not included. They could make your leg into a secret weapon! Screw The Cronocles of Riddick here comes The Cronicles of B.J.
Or, you could test all of their equipment. I could see you scrappin a humvee. Although you would probably break the subframe....
And just because I can...

Rumors have a way of coming true.

Do you think for one moment the government cares if we go to war with China? Do you think they care if we sacrifice 1/2 our population to get a treaty signed? Thousands of puritans in hell nod there head in agreement with everything the government does. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. I wouldn't like it, nope I would not, but "surprised" would not be one of my responses...

As long as politicians get voted in by the population that answer is yes.

Re: Draft

This is BJ after the operation working the curb monkeys. However, this is BJ now But, this will be BJ in five days
On another topic....Who do I need to talk to about front pads. What is everyone using? I think the EBC's are junk. I'm running HH pads and they don't have the grabiness needed to snap one up at higher speeds. It's like they are the wrong compound for the rotors or my master cylinder needs rebuilt. I know the F2 is from the dinosaur age but it runs. Show me some love...
