Nikon d40 Digital SLR help

Hello there,

i stunt at night and my cam just wont allow me to get good sequence pics due to the amount of light. My camera will only take one pic instead of a nice long sequence shots of 10 pics (due to it being dark)

will a speed light fix this problem of mine?

Re: Nikon d40 Digital SLR help

Your problem is the slow shutter speed you have to use at night, especially with the kit lense. A speed light will let you shoot at a shutter speed of 1/250. When not using flash you can crank up your iso to get a faster shutter speed but then the photo will have a lot of noise.

I use the nikon sb800 for on camera flash and it works great and has a lot of power. Get the Nikon sb600 or sb800. They are both good flashes just depends on what you want to spend and how much flash power you want.

I love off camera flash. This was shot using a Nikon D300, Nikon 10.5mm fisheye, 2 vivitar 285's and a nikon sb800 fired remotely with pocket wizards in a really dark parking lot.

This was my first time using multiple flashes in a really dark lot but these turned out alright imo. Didn't you get some pocket wizards a while back?
