I can't find 7.62 anywhere so much for my assault rifles and the second amendment for that matter! Ammo is not being limited. All the doomsdayers are buying it up faster than it can be made. Gun and ammo manufacturers are making a killing right now.

Theirs a limit on how much u can buy at one time and for some reason or another the manufacturers are shippin in limited quantities. Well bellow what the retailers typically order anyway. Its not that demand has sky rocketed its that availability has dropped off.
Iv been all over my area in the last yr and a half asking about it cuz I like to shoot the crap outta things and that requires ammo (and red spray paint cans +grungy stuffed animals from goodwill (: muahahaha)

FYI if their was a brass shortage it would go up in value, thats how the market works, but the only thing to go up n value has been gold. That is bc the value of monetary assets have been dropping.

Where are you getting this info? Everything I've read says gun and ammunition sales are booming. Ammunition manufacturers are even adding extra shifts to try to keep up with the demand. The places that sell ammo may be limiting the amount you buy so that people don't hoard it all. Wal Mart is doing that up here.

I guess I should rephrase. "Its not TOTALLY DO TO demand sky rocketing" Yea demand has gone up and supply has gone down. I got most of my information from the dealers that I usually buy from. Local gun shops, sporting good stores and even Wal-Mart. From what Iv heard they arent selling anymore ammo than they ever have bc they are getting less from their suppliers. They will only sell a limited quantity to one buyer bc they are rationing it for other customers. They dont have the supply to keep up w the demand. Yea people are stock piling what they can get when they can get it bc its hard to get. That is the trend created by the "brass shortage" that restricted original supply a year or so ago.
I donno for sure but mayb in another yr or so they will dump supplies and flood the market. People would buy it up quick and once the supplies readily available again then people will start using it alot more. Creating a boom in sales. LIS I donno whats gunna happen its speculation on my part but what wev been told is fact and what Iv heard and seen myself are conflicting and all any of us can do is read between the lines and speculate until it comes to pass.

As far as ive been told, its a straight up shortage. And the stores that are putting limits on buying ammo are trying to keep people from hoarding it or buying a shit-ton and reselling it. My local Walmart had that problem, dude was going in there and buyin this stuff by the case as soon as it was in and then reselling it. Either way, Im hoardin lol. I havent seen shit for my ak in a while but i have a couple hundo rounds so im good. Same with the 9mm. I can get bird shot (that is it) for my shotgun, and havent even tried lookin for my 30.06. Good thing I got a gift cert from a gun store for xmas last year...went straight there and bought up as much ammo as i could and some.

Yup I hear ya. Every Wal Mart was or is doing that. It may have turned to a shortage by now. I havent bought ammo in prolly 7 months. I havent used much either. Saving it back and avoiding the hassle.
