I know they are trying to build Kimbo up to be the next great fighter, but eventually they have to put him against some real talent. Shamrock, much like Tank Abbott, would have been a good fight for Kimbo...if it was 1992.

if you want to watch "great fights" watch the lighter/middle weight fighters... these kinda match ups are all for the public and for sales/buys

Fuck Kimbo, he knocked out Tank, who has a losing record and is old on top of that. Then he should have lost to James Thompson, another bum. If Thompson was skilled at all he would have had Kimbo tapping out when he was on the ground gasping for air. I dont necessarily want to see Kimbo get destroyed, but I do want to see him fight somebody that is worth a damn. I CBS is just looking at it from a money point of view though. Kimbo is the big money maker for CBS, so if he goes against a decent opponent and gets destroyed they dont have near as much of an appeal anymore.

They will show all Shamrocks accomplishments before the fight and then when Kimbo beats his ass, they will say "WOW what a miracle Kimbo is great blah blah..." They will fail to mention that Shamrock hasnt done shit in quite a while and was destroyed by a Tito Ortiz that has been less than spectacular lately.

The Kimbo Story is a great story. He is one of the icons that has boosted internet videos. He has made a great story for the sport no matter what his skill really is no real training till recently and still beating guys that have been in the gm longer than him. Give him credit for that. Its all about the money if you could get rich that way most would try....that is why we post our stunt videos on line hopeing maybe some day some one will believe in us. Kimbo Slice is a bad ass no matter what you fuckers say..........

Fighting has-beens and people my brother would kill.. Hardly anyone impressive.

Sure, he has a nice punch, and covers his chin well, but once he fights a well rounded fighter who hasn't been washed up, he'll die. Shamrock would have killed him easily back in the day. However, that was then.

It's all about publicity.

Shamrock is a whore for the $$$, Elite XC is a joke and an embarrassment to MMA, and Kimbo is just doing what his handlers tell him to do, as somebody stated above, he's an etertainer, he doesn't wanna face the best, he just wants to get paid.

Jeff Monson called Kimbo out months ago on youtube, and the President of Elite XC said something along the lines of he had to beat more people to face Kimbo, Monson is an Obudabi World Champ.

It's just a shame Shamrock has fallen so far that he's getting caught up in this joke.
