private health insurance?

so I just finished school and my health benefits end in Sept. I plan on substitute teaching for $$$ right now but that does not provide any health insurance. So I would like to get private insurance but I have asthma and a couple people told me that nobody would cover me because that is a pre-existing condition. does anybody know about this? or have private health insurance with asthma by any chance? any companies you would recommend? (I heard Kaiser would deny me for sure)
help please! Health coverage is definately a must when doing wheelies!

Then after they accept you....get it all of a sudden. Thats fucked up. Kaiser gave me some shit for the hardware in my arm, but they eventually let me get on. They're the insurance we had when I got the hardware too. 250K, three surgery's and I didn't pay a dime.

Re: private health insurance?

BlueCross Blueshield is one of the best options i looked into personally... also State Farm who i have my bike/car thru surprisingly also offers medical coverage as well.... So i'd ask your bike insurer if they have major medical they can obtain thru somebody for ya...

Blue cross is pricey. I had my wife and kid on Golden Rule for while. Its cheap, not real sure if they cover the asthma or not.
I think it was 250 a month for both wife and daughter.
