Ebay deadbeat buyers

I've sold 2 bikes on ebay, one went well with no probs and the other i had to go through 2 deadbeats. I'm selling a 900 now and it looks like i have another deabeat. My question is what real re-course do i have against these dbags?......who literally steal $ from me with their bullshit. I know it's a binding contract and blah blah but if i really want to push it what could i do? thanks.

Re: Ebay deadbeat buyers

You really can't do anything I think I've had about 6 or 7 non paying bidders...the only thing you can do is file NPB with ebay to get back your Final Value Fee..

Change your selling options to include a feedback requirement and require paypal (or least for the deposit) that takes care of 98% of the clowns out there....and make the auction only available to us bidders...

Re: Ebay deadbeat buyers

wow... seems like some peeps are on a rampage on that site

are you getting your ebay fees back?

if that's what you are talking about?

if you contact ebay about it, you will tie up the auction for days .. even weeks.. however, after the person "wins" the auction, you have an option to withdrawl the sale and not be charged...

and do you by chance need help changing your identity to male? lol

You get the FVF back but you should have your fees returned though i doubt ebay will ever go that far. Tried the deposit and us only requirements but you can still get burned. I think ebay needs to do more on this......and yes please change me back to a man Cathi ...thanks

lol... pissed doesn't even describe it ...
now we have gotten to a point that if a buyer doesn't have a confirmed address, or we are not eligible for paypal's protection policy we dont do business... you just gotta be careful and be wise

Re: Ebay deadbeat buyers

I hate when it takes 3 weeks to receive something from a seller with NO tracking # or anything. 3 weeks later, it just shows up at your front door... WTF IS THAT SHIT!?!?!??!

A $400 Arai helmet. I never bitch about tracking and shit like that b/c I've never bought anything that expensive, but I didn't want that box just sitting on my front porch so I kept bugging the seller for tracking so I would make sure I was there for the delivery. Bastard never emailed me, never contacted me, NOTHING... and then one day BAM, just showed up. Funny thing was, I got off work early that day so I just so happened to be home.
