I have a part time job and i really think twice about going riding or driving my truck. It's ridiculous. I voted on the third option only because i'm a part-time worker and sometimes i get a little bit more money for college.
I hate the way it's going that's for sure.

I'm spending over $20 more a week, it really sucks. So I am thinking more about where I drive and how.

Then there's my sandrail, which just gulps the gas down like fuckin crazy, so I'm not driving it much at all right now.

Yea, it's affected me like a motherfucker. Uncle sam doesn't believe in pay raises, just promotions.. and we all know they don't get handed out so looks like I have no choice but to deal with it. Looks like I gotta keep eating at the chow hall, hah.

Re: Is the cost of gas and the economy affecting your wallet?

So, I was talking to my father the other day about this...it sorta sucks cuz gasoline for vehicles isn't something enough people can really "boycott." Personally, I can't ride my bicycle to and from work everyday, to all my doctor's appointments, etc. It would be ideal, but naturally, most people can't. That's the problem. They realize that we need the freaking gas and everything else they're raising prices on (food, due to increased gas prices while delivering the food, etc). My fiance has an '07 Tundra which is freakin' huge and takes up a ton of gasoline and had a junker work truck that ciphened the gas as well. He sold that and the same day decided to go buy a bike for primary transportation purposes. But with where we live, THAT option doesn't even weigh a price saving guarantee as we can't even get a nice week of weather and it's nearing the end of May! Personally, I have a 6 cylinder but it costs about $54-$60 to fill up. I just never seem to notice. I just stop to get the gas because I need it...just like milk (for those who drink it), you just buy it, you don't notice how much a gallon is because it's a necessary item for some people...Either way, gas prices suck...I seem to notice them more as I'm driving by not needing it rather than paying as much attention when I stop to get it. Now, I want a bike but I'm a chicken cuz I'm getting old, married, and wanting kids...Geez, my how times (and prices) change...

some gas pumps are programmed to shut off at $75. Some gas pumps will only take your credit/debit card if there is a balance of atleat $75. in your account.
this gas situation is out of control and it's not going to get any better.. we are putting the putting the silverado to sleep in the next month or two... deciding on a mazda 3 or possibly another acura... i have better things to spend my money on instead of giving my money to support gold plated turbans...

I hear that. Main reason I started looking for a job with a company truck. I just can't justify spending my hard earned money that way. Pumps around here are programmed to shut off at 100 tho.It costs me around 125 - 135 depending on where I am to fill up now.

Go apply at AT&T... they give you a company truck and job security for now since they are upgrading.. they pay for your training and gas..
