Re: Is the cost of gas and the economy affecting your wallet?

I don't have any debt and the only thing I really used my truck for was hauling bikes and boats anyway so I didn't have to change anything yet. The most important thing I learned in college was to live off nickels and dimes so when I do have money it gets blown away anyway

Oh yeah, when I go offshore fishing we go out 12 - 20 miles instead of 60 now because the boats suck on gas waaayyyyyyyyy more than trucks.

Re: Is the cost of gas and the economy affecting your wallet?

Haven't really changed my habits, I have a 97 1/2 ton GMC (350 motor Vortec) EXT cab lifted 6" with 35's and it costs $75 to fill it but I also have a Honda Accord that is my daily driver. After the initial gas hike I bought a Honda b/c I knew this shit was going to happen.

Colorado average gas price is like $3.40 right now, so it's not AS bad as Cali but it sure isn't fun!

Ohhhh she's a beauty black 98 extended cab 2wd...adult owned (once) never abused (except when its driven) mint condition (that might be streching the truth) and drives like a caddy (a bagged 65 eldorado)

Needs nothing (besides a tranny that doesn't grind, front tires and ball joints).
Hey I'll even throw in the wheel chock and bike straps.

You deliever!

damn, so diesel is just gonna keep going up? its about $3.90 or something like that around here. Gas has been steady at 3.10-15 for 87, I sure am glad we got rid of the f250 for this little f150 then!

Big oil figured out consumers were buying diesel vehicles as it has always been cheaper than gas (fact is it's cheaper and easier to refine) so they just jacked the prices up to make sure all consumers get gouged equally

Re: Is the cost of gas and the economy affecting your wallet?

Its predicted to go to $1 more per gallon what ever it is now by the end of the summer. So if your gas is $3.50, it'll be $4.50 in August....

Yeah that would be great, if you could keep your bike from getting jacked during the massive societal implosion that would happen.
