Why do they keep making these things available? So now some average Joe can track and find out exactly where you are down to a 2ft radius.

Now the excuse is " Now you can find out where your loved one is. Find your son after his soccer practice without having to even call".... blah blah blah.

But what about the Child molester who obtained a childs number? what about an estranged stalker who can't get over his girlfriend moving on after a bumpy relationship? what about Terrorists, thieves, etc that could use it for obtaining and kidnapping people for ransom?

Screw that. Yea, it sounds nice, but what about all the negative aspects that can go along with this invasion of privacy.

verizon and nextel has had this option available for years.. you had to call in to find out exactly where that person is though..

but all these new rules are gettin just out of line

You can shut your gps off on most phones.

pretty soon after this theyll implant miro RF chips into us that can be scanned. Imformation like SSN# and DOB's and addresses will be pulled up. Also... you will be payed by direct deposit (if you arent already now)...

all for "convinience".

imagine gong to a store and just grabbing what you needed and walking through a scanner (simliar to anti theft magnet scanners at the doors at stores you see today) and the amount will sutomatically be deducted from your account.

this will also aid in tracking individuals...

stock up on ammo... and canned goods!

GPS phones are simply that. Your making the misunderstanding statement not realizing that ALL phones have to connect to satelites to bounce frequences to transmit data to the towers and the recieving party.

In otherwords, GPS isn't an option. You can't shut off something that connects regardless to satelites. Just doesn't work that way buddy...

In otherwords, GPS isn't an option. You can't shut off something that connects regardless to satelites. Just doesn't work that way buddy...

GSM is popular in the UK... but some phone companies don't even use GSM. Nextel is the easiest to track b/c their network is all GSM and walkie-talkie type cell phones.

I dont have a prepaid, but if they couldnt track me with that and they could with Sprint/Nextel I would switch

Most of us don't do anything illegal, work, pay bills, taxes, etc.

I just don't feel that my coworker can punch me in and find out where I am. Something is not right wiht that picture.

Then say "welp, looks like he is heading back. I'll see you later baby."....
