Someone has to know what this is...

I bought this bike at a garage sale thinking it would be a good starter bike for my daughter. :YEAH Now I am looking for a new carb and it has me feeling like an idiot because I have no clue what the hell it is If anyone has an idea please let me know because it's kicking me in the nuts! Motor has AR95-100737 stamped on it....google was no help!

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

if you can't figure out what it is it looks just like a scooter motor any carb the same size should work take the carb off and go to a local shop that sells scooters and mopeds and just find one that looks like it will fit ......

the size of the intake port will be the deciding factor along with the style of the throttle cable

or just fix the carb thats on it

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

right on, any idea if one would be beefier than the other, or would it make little difference on such a small bike

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

right now the only adjustment is the throttle screw, it runs great for about 5 mins then bogs like it's flooded, may have just bought junk...

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

if it pours out the over flow your float is either to high or your needle and seat is not sealing properly if it's the needle and seat then there is probably just a peice of dirt or corrosion in there ....

the needle and seat is what lets the gas in the bowl and the float goes up when the bowl is full and that closes the needle and seat

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

here's a better pic of d carb. the red cap is what I took off.... Sounds like a new carb is the easiest way for a quick fix, it's not like they are an arm and a leg..haha

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

Now you know what I mean about the kick in the nuts! It's not the fact that I am mechanicaly retarded, but I have never seen one either, what realy sucks is the fact that it's a 2stroke and it's self-mixing. lesson learned today.... "Impulsive buying can give you gas"

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh that brings a whole new aspect to the subject......

put a new plug in it and block off the pump that mixes the oil and just pre mix it in the tank.....................40 parts gas and 1 part oil would be a good starting point as long as there is smoke coming out the tail pipe and you are not fouling plugs then you are good if there isn't smoke add more oil if it fouls the plug quick then less oil..........

Re: Someone has to know what this is...

once you start messing with it i don't really think you will need a manual those little bikes are made very simple..

every thing i ever owned that had oil injection the first thing i do is take it off because if it brakes while your riding and it will you will blow your motor
