I agree with you bro. But you're making smart moves. You did a service for the country in which you can't be thanked enough. But your planning ahead and making moves. Youre taking advantage of your benfits in the military, your child is also given health care, etc. Your set, he's not. He's got to get there and make good decisions. Hey, you don;t knwo what will happen if you don't try.

But I don't agree sacrificing your newborn child b/c you don't want to wrok in your degree. he's got a degree, work with it and use it to your advantage. Take classes along with working with the health benefits. That's the best option. The sacrifice will be his time away but this is what he wants. But at least he's not a financial burden on society when his baby gets needs medical attention. He can pay for health insurance on his own though, I believe it'll run him about $250/mo. So its not impossible. He just has to get serious. He should be looking into these avenues instead of worrying about what someone says on the net.

Just let it be bro, go to school and finish like you were planning on, even if it doesnt get you much higher of an income or not(im still confused about that no one really clarified) because even if it doesnt it will get you a more secure job to have a higher education on your resume than a lower one. Plus you can get good benifits. Best of luck with you, your lady, and your little lady she'll grow up before you know it

I'm in it for the debate and this is a great topic to debate on because of the fact that it can fall either way.
