Ironically, Icon is one of the two percent that doesn't hate stunting... Those same 98-percent of potential advertisers almost universally love custom sportbikes, because each one of those blinged-out 'Busas that everyone loves to hate represents a person who has spent anywhere from $30K-$60K of his or her hard-earned cash in the motorcycle industry. Advertisers want to reach those people--most of them could give a sh*t about reaching broke-a** stunters...

Until stunters and stunt fans start spending cash like that there is no way this industry will ever support a stand-alone stunt magazine, so if you like reading any stunt content at all on the newsstand you're just going to have to choke down the occasional circus-freak Busa.

Sorry kids, just droppin' some reality,

thanks for sharing that....it made a lot of sence

How about buy both magazines!!! I support both Super Streetbike, and 2 Wheel Tuner magazines. Both of the magazines stand behind our sport, so support them!

Re: Disappointed with the new.....

I ACTUALLY KINDA LIKED THE ICON ADDS...

I FLIPPED THROUGH THEM CAREFULLY LOOKING AT EACH ITEM AND COMPARING THIS TO THAT AND PRICES...

I NEED ALL NEW COAT AND HELMET AND GLOVES FOR NEXT YEAR AND I WAS CHOOSING WHICE ITEMS I WAS GOING TO BUY.

I AGREE THE BIKES THEM SELFS WERE WEAK THIS MONTH...

I DID SEE A COUPLE OF THE LOCAL GUYS FROM STUNTLIFE IN THE MAG ..SOIT WAS KINDA A XTRA BONUS.

I BUY 2WHEEL TUNER EVERY MONTH.
IT'S VERY COMPAREABLE TO SSB...BUT SOME OFTHE ARTICLES ARE ACTUALLY WRITEN BY BIG DAVE ONE OF THE AFFILIETS OF THE STARBOYZ THAT USED TO STUNT WITH THEM.

Ive seen some cats I've ridden w/ in the mag and I've seen my teammates pops get his customed bike printed in the mag. :YEAH

Mad props to SSB. I want to see more full page pictures of cats pulling off wicked tricks though.

Maybe that would also encourage sponsers to pay riders based on size and frequency of their add appearence in mags (like surfers). aka , 1 full page w/ exellent viewage of sponsers sticker = $2 G's to that rider from said sponser.

Thats a whole diff. topic though.. SSB!

I like flat blakc EVERYTHING, and performance parts ONLY. Like one of GR's bikes, but that's me, and my idea of a custom bike. When i see a chromed out, extended swingarm busa, I'm sure not gonna trash it, to much work and to much time put into it. Even though EVERYONE does the busa, each one is a work of art, and each diserves it's own respect.

On a side note, I thought the 20 pages wasn't TOO bad. If you don't wanna read it, flip ahead.
when i see a chromed out bike, i wanna push it over..

pictures in a mag are my biggest ally with any sponsor i have...the work you do for them that isn't quantifyable cannot compare to a pic in a magazine that is right there in their hands, in front of their face.

the asphalt mag centerfold i had opened a lot of doors, as did an interview in Super Streetbike, as will this issues pics...although i'd like some larger ones as well!

BUT, these mags are doing a great job and i for one appreciate ANY coverage we as stunters can get in nationally distributed magazines!

good point teach, all of it. because for people like me( a nobody in the industry) if and when i get a picture or pictures or anything like that in a mag it will most likely increase the chance i could actually convince someone im worth somehting to them and could help them further business or get exposure through my competing and without a sick mag like ssb that would not be possible. thats why this year im gonna try to hit every comp that is covered by ssb and try and strutt my stuff and ham it up for the cam :YEAH
2005 its on bitches, now get out of y way cuz i might crash

Me too, I think I am in the December issue of Two Wheel Tuner. My ex sent in some pics. I haven't even looked for it yet. They are way cool, and so are the cats at Super Street Bike. I'm stoked to see magazines shines some light into this sport. Some is better then none! It's going to take some time to get it rolling along a little more, but it's going to happen! Then when it explodes we'll see more magazines directed soley at stunting. We just have to be patient

Re: Disappointed with the new.....

T'hell with Icon adds. Big props to Icon for supporting our habbit. let's face it, we are stunters, and most of us cannot afford their garbage. I buy Teknic, so I can afford to keep on stuntin'. Bling bling busa is exactly what the SSB is all about. SUPER...STREETBIKE. So let em' have it, and their adds. Be nice to SSB since they make room to accommodate us, the SUPER...STREETBIKE...RIDERS. That's right, we don't pose, we ride. I respect bling bling, and I got one. Fast as fu(k, but don't wheelie worth a shiat. So it sits there...lookin' pretty, anyone want it?
