That has to be fake. How would it have imploded and no touched the back of his mouth? How would he live with theblood loss? Y is his tounge fine? FAKE. I also saw this pic at a different message board and they all said it was fake and that there was a group of people who made a site about dead hobos on trains. It was all photoshoped and looked just as good as this one.

It's photoshopped...look at his eyes...would they not be all blood shot? Also, with that much trauma would he not be unconscious or at least laying down?

Fake...but way gross.

That is just wrong... How can he be just sitting there like he's fine or something. And how would he survive with half his face missing?

He was probably in shock, which happens, and as long as there is brain activity he could survive. I am sure there has been worse, but that picture is disturbing.

holy f*ck, that must have hurt. If it was a shotgun blast you would be able to see some of the pellets in the shot. Believe me, I live in the state of hunters. I know what shotgun blasts look like. That looks more explosive but explosives also give burns. He is not even scorched to a discoloration. It is a messed up picture and makes a good helmet safety picture. Fortunately, it is a layered photoshop image. Just my

there is way too much meat hanging off the face for it to be real, the top lip would be below his lower jaw area and then all that junk where his cheeks are supposed to be would have no where to go...just look at it like a puzzle and you can see that the pieces wont fit back together right

I also believe that if we took 13 year old children into a morgue, and showed them the damage a .45 munition does to a human we wouldn't have as many high-schoolers shooting themselves, their teachers and class-mates. We Americans as a whole get so disconnected from reality. Look even at our cartoons that are young are watching. Whylee Coyote gets run off a cliff chasing the Roadrunner, and he just gets up and starts over. Tom & Jerry, another prime example. Tom gets just annihilated on numerous occassions through just one cartoon, but he seems to just get right back up and start trying to kill Jerry all over again. Children are desensitized by these images at a young age which simply carries over into adulthood. I think that although it does appear as an explosive it was listed as a motorcycle accident, and this is the REALITY of what can happen to a human when you choose to ride w/o a helmet and get into a serious accident. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm not trying to upset anyone. I'm trying to as J DUB puts it in the new SportBikeHype DVD, "keep it real". Our sport puts us DIRECTLY in harm's way, and should not be discounted because we never are confronted with disturbing images of what can happen when something goes bad. I have treated this board only with respect & honor, and plan only on continuing the same.
I completely agree with you and I respect you for speaking up

All I can say is,"HOLY SHIITE!!!".

Just one more reason as to why in 13 years I have never ridden w/o a helmet.
i can see some his teeth (molars, etc) a tounge and tonsil....as for the rest, i'm sure if i stared at it more then i'd be able to find more things they could possible use to reconstruct with. As for it being a motorcycle accident, over the summer I was on my way to a concert and in the middle of the road were two men laying on the ground. One of them was stumbling around, the other was unconscious. I was about to do cpr when the ambulance came. One of the motorcycles was 30 feet from where one of the guys had landed. Neither one of them were wearing a helmet...the man I was reaching down to, to resucitate had died three weeks later. He was on life support and his family chose to let him go. I told a bf at the time after it happened and told him to wear a helmet...he said "i dont need one" etc.......*sigh*
