Actually a few weeks ago I was thinking of selling everything and just getting a bike to cruise around on because I lost my only good spot here in Clanton. Now its about a 45 minute-1 hour drive to get to the closest spot.
yea that shit gets frustrating, i stunt and race moto-x and need to give one up honestly, me and my dad have rode mx together for years now and i dont think i can quit until hes ready to, just a bond we have but i love stunting, it more challenging and gives me alot more to look forward to, just sucks because of cops, no spots to ride, im starting from the bottom, and replacing parts

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

If you dont have alot of money and your learning new stunts you dont have down yet street fighter that shit. If you take it off before you fuck it up you can always put it on later and have it look all minty again. Cut your levers down & pegs down so they dont hit in a crash, scrounge up the money for a nice set of aftermarket clipons weather there vortex, FI, Woodcraft..... somthing where if you break the clipon all you have to replace is the bar itself. Even db bars too cause you can always straighten them out if you bend them, never a bad idea to reinforce your radiator brackets or if your not good with fabbing use giant zip ties on it to give it some extra suport..... With all that stuff done you will greatly reduce the amount of things you will break and make stunting alittle more affordable.

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

I did stop for a while. Had a new baby, had no time, was always working, yet had no loot, and my bike sucked. Came back to it and I'm stoked again. It also helps having otjher activities (i.e. skateboarding) to keep you satisfied and from overthinking everything in stunting.

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

you thought about quiting becuase you trashed out your plastics.. come on man.. you shouldent even have that shit on there. I guess you used 250$ in plastics to protect your clipons and fork tops. Im broke as hell.. I got a bunch of shit on ebay right now just to pay my bike insurance. Im in a hole right now too but ill sell everything I have to get back out there the next day. but then again Ive never wrecked and broke somthing. I have been riding more conservative past 3 months that I cant replace parts, But im still progressing. If its somthing your here to do, then do it.

Sorry, I like to keep my bike nice, it gets kind of expensive... I guess when you don't care how your bike looks or runs this sport can be pretty cheap.

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

I've never wanted to give up. But recently I've thought about it. Mainly due to money and health issues.

I still voted no, because I'll never WANT to quit. But there may come a time when I have to.

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

I have not quit but I have cut way back on how much I ride. Too busy to ride like I used to.

I will never give it up totally though, unless I absolutely have to.

Re: Anyone considered giving up?

I'm not gonna lie, I watched one of my best friends get hit by a car and he was doing nothing but going to get his girl somethin. Alot of my friends buried their helmets and I buried my key it was fckn horrible she took the best one, he just got out of jail and wasn't doin nothin wrong it happend right at the end of my driveway. Almost everybody I know quit ridein but I still stunt and RED still rides but everybody elese gave it up. It was a complete fckn waist a tragitey that could have been avoided if she wasn't on that fckn cell phone or just looked before she pulled out for whatever was so fckn important. Totally uncalled for. I would do anything to take my friends place he had a place in this world and now he's gone for no reason. PEOPLE JUST DON'T LOOK FOR BIKES.

RIP EASY-E... See you at the cross roads.

i quit riding everyday in the lot...

and started riding /stunting on the streets and im way more happy ..

..riding the streets we meet tons of new people everyday opposed to sititngin the lot with the 4-5 stunters practicing for hours on end.

the streets are where its at for me.

i still stop at the lot a few times a week when everybodys there... but ride only to freshen up my skillz and teach everybody else some new skills...

take some pics and shit liek that...

then go back to the streets where the fun is at

sure of course streets are fun as hell but they get expensive and dangerous as fuck. weather stopping and eating the tickets or running every time. Either way eventualy you luck will run out.
