Re: Are people who start with larger bikes more prone to stunting?

I started on a ZX9... and then went to a ZX12... because I needed the
power for the 100mph wheelies... but now I'm getting more into the
slower stuff, and a lighter bike would be easier.

But we had a local show... and the crowd really loves to see and hear
a big bike putting it down while mixing up some good moves. I run a fully
open pipe on my 12... so when I lite up the rear end and I'm turning up
12,000 rpms, the bike really screams for attention... crowd goes nuts!

i'd rather give her one that was already wrecked than make her do the work wrecking it herself.

Re: Are people who start with larger bikes more prone to stunting?

Well, everybody around me (including me) had to wreck a F2 or F3. Kinda like a right of passage. Yes, that was my first bike, 1996 F3. That was in 1999. Bought it, 4 days later, totaled it. Kinda fixed it then I did some super high stopping stoppies, lol. I traded it on a car later in the summer, then in '00 I found a 1997 gixxer 750 still on the showroom floor. No battery or oil ever in it. Paid $7200 and I did some mild stunting with my newfound power. That bike lasted until early November '00 when a NASTY^&*%^ tankslapper that nearly killed me (no damper). After I decided I still wanted to ride, it was on! Cow fur, tiger fur, whatever, it was gettin stunted. I made it as far as a Starboyz stuntfest vid, then I spun a rod bearing =( Bought a '01 750 (already in stuntmode), shot a rod throught he block while in a standup :O, and then I found a '01 1k. Havn't went back since. I still enjoy all bikes, like scraping stock Ninja 250s, but its all been said here. It really isn't the bike. It's what you can do, and what you feel comfy with. My first 750 I achieved alot on because my friend had one and he showed me what it could do. That gave me confidence. Confidence in your bike might be more important than cc's.
