im looking to buy a power commander for my 04 636 and a lot of people are telling me it doesnt make a difference. is that true or no?

if you have a pipe it will make a difference on the top end. just make sure you get the right map or program it on a dyno. afaik it wont make much difference with the factory pipe.

+1. On a factory setup, you won't see much of a difference except a few flat spots gone that you didn't know were there. But that is with a 200 dollar tune.

Most effective with pipe and filter, of course. If you have those, then I think it would be worth the few HP.... You'll feel it in the seat of pants dyno as well.

I see you have a high mount, so I'm assuming you've spent the 50 bucks for a KN. I say yes.....

with the 200 hundred dollar tune an a filter an exhaust made a great diffrence in my 06 R1

ive got a 03' zx6rr with a full akraprovic system, air filter and dynojet power commander.. with these things together and setup properly you will notice the difference, defo..
but mine is the 599cc RR not a 636...
