01 Honda 929 vs 07 Ninja ZX-6R

I'm getting a 929 in a few days, all stock, and a friend of mine just bought an 07 6R,we're both just about at the same skill level. I can't find any specs on google and with bikes getting more and more advanced as the years come.

The 929 has a bigger motor, but the 6r has newer technology, any input on this would be nice.

Re: 01 Honda 929 vs 07 Ninja ZX-6R

putting an f4i front end on that 929 will make a world of difference,

if you want you can trade me ur 929 front end for a nice f4i front!

Don't swap your front end. You put the 929 front on a f4i becouse of the inverted forks and better brakes. You wont to kill it on the strip soften the suspention and change your gearing to one down and one up and you will beat gsxr 1000's. I did that with my old 929 on many ocations.

Stock 929 01' (new anyway) should run roughly 10.4 in the 1/4.Thats w/ a pro rider i'm sure. Don't Quote. Mines an 01' w/ less that 5k miles. I haven't times mine personally but i've outrun several 600's. The only complaint w/ my 929 is accelerating out of turns the front end gets squirlly. I'm sure a stabilizer bar would help tho. sry rambling again.

Re: 01 Honda 929 vs 07 Ninja ZX-6R

my 929, down 1 up 2, two brothers exhaust, and a power commander, I ran a 10.4. Not bad for a 929 to beat most 1000 that are stock.

umm no its not. the only bikes that are limited are bikes capable of doing 187mph. theres no law saying that you cant produce a bike that goes faster than that but the manufacturers all agreed to limit the bikes to 187 to keep lawmakers off their back. that being said, only 1000's and busa/zx14's maybe the 750's are limited in their top end by a computer which is easily bypassed with a TRE mod. 600s are not limited and an 08 zx6r should be reaching speeds of atleast 160mph unless the guy riding it weights 400lbs and is riding uphill into the wind.
