Re: how do i get involved?

Just find a track and go on the practice days and start practicing. In Texas we had saturdays and one day during the week to practice and it was $10 probably about the same in New Hampshire. Oh yeah and be prepared to hurt I quit racing motocross cause I was getting hurt all the time way more injuries than stuntin

+1, once you go to a few track days you can find out all the info you'll need. I don't know much about motocross racing but if it's anything like big bike racing, you'll need to get yoru noob license to race first. - good luck

Re: how do i get involved?

Everytime I go out and practice I always pray "Please God don't let me hit my head again!" I am sooo tired of hitting my head. Keep the elbows up, weight the outside peg, don't look down, look through the turn, and stay on the gas. Those are the general rules fir MX. But please don't let me hit my head again. I am getting a headache just thinking about it. Shoulders are always hurting too but that head thing, sheesh!

Re: how do i get involved?

also your local dealerships , should have information as to where the local tracks are.... Motocross is way easier to get into than Roadracing, and alot less expensive at a local level. You dont have to get hurt (all the time ....just once in awhile ) if you Wear good protective gear, AND ride within your Limits !!! Dont try the Biggest triple on the track on your first day, If you've never jumped that far before ......Your bike might be capable....BUT I ASSURE you.... that Jump is ALOT harder than it looks , and the fast Guys are Making it look WAYYYyyy Easier than it really is. I know this for a fact, ANd it is the same for Any MX track that Ive ever been to. ( I've ridden about 10 different tracks in the past 11 years) Im into stuntin now , but my experience comes from racing for the past 20 years....just about everything with a motor From superbikes to Gopeds and everything inbetween.

Good luck in your racing endeavors
