![]() | in addition to the 600rr vs 636 question right now i'm leaning towards a 636 as a bike to ride but also do some stunting on. about 50/50 between riding and stunting. What do you guys think of the r6 or the gixxer 6 in comparison to the 636. thanks guys. i started the other thread about the 600rr and the 636 but want just a little more info. |

![]() | I would pick the new 636 just because it has the extra displacment but I am a kawi guy so I am bias towards it but it also wheelies like a demon on power.

![]() | I'd go with the GSXR, but that's because I ride one. I have a buddy who rides a 636. I've ridden it, it's fun and a good bike but not really any better than the gixxer. You can get the gsxr cheaper because they are coming out with a new 600 for 04. If you're deadset on either the kawi or the double r, go with the kawi, more displacement, metal tank, and radially mounted brakes. Honestly if it were me, I'd go with the Z1000. 125+hp, no fairings, dirtbike bars, sweet looking awesome performing stock streetfighter, the MSRP for the 636 is $7999, the MSRP for the double R is $8500 (I think) and the Zed1k has an MSRP of $8500. They handle just as good as a sportbike at high speed, a little better then a sportbike at low speed (wider bars, more leverage), they look wicked and they're going to make a great stunter.

![]() | I would say go w/ a gixxer cuz that's what i got and i beat the f*ck out of it and it never dies...my friend has a 636, and granted i rode it and it is very smooth, easy to wheelie (still like mine better)..my friend doesn't stunt either he just video tapes for us and now and then he'll rip up like a 100 foot stand up down the road nuttin special doesn't beat on it at all (especially compared to us). Recently he turned 8000 mi on it and it started tickin like a bastard, thing sounded like a typewritter (an old school one) and he brought it back to the dealer and he needs a new top end. i really lost faith in that bike since then. i don't know i've always been a kawi guy growin up w/ dirt bikes and quads, but i'm definitely not impressed w/ the street bike (for stuntin purposes anyways, they are def. fast). oh ya my friend has also gone thru 4 driver's peg mount cuz they keep snappin, my bike has fallin on its side from a 12 and it didn't break nuttin his bike fall while washin it and it breaks a mount...f*ck up if ya ask me i wouldn't buy one
