![]() ![]() | Re: help! rivet style master link! heres how i do it. take a face plate from the old chain or an extra from the new chain and drill the 2 holes out just a little bit. put the drilled out face plate over the new link on the front side where the pins are gonna come through and use a real big pair of vice grips or channel locks to press it down. make sure that whatever ur using is big enough to make contact with both of the pins in the back at the same time. pressing it as far as the pins come up into the drillled out face plate a bit. the drilled out face plate should just fall off, then take an awl or make one out of a screw driver or something and flair out the pins with a hammer. donezo. |
