stripping paint from fiberglass fairings

My fairings i just got have been painted several times and are starting to crack and have chipps so i want to strip all the paint off and repaint them. Is there any stripper out there that will not eat the fiberglass away but strip the paint.

Thanks,
Nick

+1 sand the paint off

and before you repaint your fairings, fiberglass them with a few more layers from the back side..

that'll help them to not crack your paint next time

It's called flex additive.

Re: stripping paint from fiberglass fairings

seriously, sand it bro. and if you wanna make the fiberglass stronger, buy some fiberglass resin and hardener. mix it and apply to the back side with a spreader or paint brush. doesn't look pretty but its on the inside and you can always paint over it.
