600rr idle screw question please help!!

so i put te idle screw in the top of the throttle bodies where the small set screw is. the stock one broke off in the stock spot but at an ok idle. my problem is that when i idle it up, say 4000rpm, it will stay there till i let the clutch out. like if i let the clutch out and pull it in right away the idle drops down and will stay there till i give it throttle again. what the hell is wrong here? please ppost up i am sitting out here with a bike torn apart scratching my head.

Re: 600rr idle screw question please help!!

everything is right.. stock one is at about 2300 but this problem is.. i turn the idle up to about 4. it stays there. if i let the clutch out and pull it in rght away it drops to stock idle and it stays there. it wont go back to 4000 until i blip the throttle. then it will stay at 4 till i clutch it again. when i am in a wheelie it drops down so it is hard to catch idle

the stock one should not be that high. it should be at the normal 1200 to 1400. the stock adjuster ajdjusts fuel air ratio and will make ur bike run fucked up if u have it cranked up like that. if u broke the screw off u may have to replace the wax unit if u cant get it out. either way, put ur stock idle back to normal and it will most likely solve your problem.
