Whats The Best Way To Cut Down Fairings

Sup everyone!!! What is the best way to cut down fairings??? I have a 2002 GSXR 600 and I want to cut the side fairings to make it look like a STREETFIGHTER, I just want to cut the top half of the fairings and keep the lower ones like a under belly fairing. What is the best tool or cutter to use on this??
THANKS!!!!!

Re: Whats The Best Way To Cut Down Fairings

a fine tooth key whole saw or just a hack saw blade with some tape around one end so you don't cut your hand off

i now have a side cutting drill bit that i use in my dremmel tool but the key whole saw does work good ,then i file down the edges with a regular metal file

I'm looking for a set of side fairings to cut down to make my R1 into a streetfighter so I'll be cutting whatever mids I can find...

Do you run door edging on the cut edges then? I've seen a few bikes on here with cut fairings and thats what it LOOKS like

BTW....used the search instead of composed a new thread
