I broke mine too, but I was too lazy and didn't want to go makin my own shit for my bike yet, so I just bought the 905 one and I love it. After looking at it, it's so simple to copy. We are going to take mine off my bike and make one for someone else using mine as a guide.

Engine swap... I'm looking at getting an 02 into an 00 (750)... will I run into prollems, or is it pretty straightforward?

that's not because of the oil....I did probably 150 miles of wheelies when this bike was stock and nothing ever happened.

yes it is, oil light came on and his engine blew. started knocking like crazy, took it to the dealer and had to have 2 rods replaced and a new crank put in. cause: oil starvation. 2005 bike with less than 5k miles on the motor.

sorry man, it's probably just that bike, for whatever reason there was an oil starvation problem....it never happened on mine, nor 3 bikes here.

ya, i've heard of a few not blowing up, but i hear of more blowing up than not. so far 4 of my friends that ride gixxers have blown them up, all while doing wheelies. only 1 that i know of does rev limiter stuff, the other 3 were just regular riders. if you pull the oil pan and look at the pickup on them you can see why, there is no way in hell that pickup all the way in the front bottom of the pan can get any oil in a high wheelie. I didn't know it was that far forward until i changed mine to a stuntex pickup. The stock pickup pulls oil about an inch above the drain bolt in the front.

i would assume they all would. suzuki hasn't changed their oil pickup design for a long time. if you look at the microfische on the 06 in the oil pan you can see if it's stil the same. it's a long tube with a bulge in it that extends to the front of the oil pan. if it has that, then it draws oil from the front of the pan and is potentially going to run out of oil in wheelies.

yeah, I saw that last year when I did the pickup change on mine. it's not the greatest design idea but it works I guess. they could have the pickup in the middle of the oilpan and it would have just an easy time getting oil at all bilke levels and positions.

Couldn't find fiches of 06 gsx-r but i found this pic...

Yeah it looks like 06 still got that shitty oil pan design.

And just for example, this is 600RR...

Just have to ask WTF they think in suzuki factory while design that pan?

But other than that, new gsx-r 600 seems a really nice bike! Anyone stunted it yet?

Re: Gsxr Help Page-

ya, that pan is in the front. it's a good idea to make a deeper pan that is smaller diameter so they can get more depth, but not in the front. kawi's pan is really deep in the back and the pickup goes way down in the oil. at least on my 05 it is. very nice design

Re: Gsxr Help Page------------------------

My bike looks almost exactly the same. I have an 05' gsx-r as well. Anyway, what sprocket setup do you ride with, and where can I find that front set-up; with the headlights and the plastic number plate. Appreciate the help.

Thanks

IAT (intake air temp) sensor. it is located on the right side of your airbox and screws in from the bottom. clean the connection there and plug it back in and see if that helps...if not, the sensor has gone bad.
