geting a fi cage for a 929 is a bad idea unless you like buying stator covers

Re: 929 FI cage

well i dont really tend on stunting this summer since the 929 is so damn SENSITIVE. So is it gonna get in the way of regular riding? Just wanna get it to be safe in case of a spill, had 2 slow spills already and did lots of damage

Re: 929 FI cage

Look at the MXD track cages then.

I've wondered about which cage gives the most cornering clearance myself. Ya know, some of us have to ride to our spots....

Re: 929 FI cage

you guys think the track cage would hold up against spills on the stator? cause that F**** stator was designed S***** lol. Any tiny hit and it breaks.

Re: 929 FI cage

the best thign about the FI cage is that you can pull the side struts, and under loop off in minutes, dont ahve to pull the fairings either, and leave the sliders attached still. that way you have maximum clearance for road shit, and if ya wanan stunt slap them back on for protection.

Re: 929 FI cage

if the front mounts are exposed, then you dont have to cut anything. our track cages hold up pretty good, but i wouldnt learn 12s with one. our stunt cages, i just got one back from a 954, he broke the upper tube, but the tube broke, not the weld. thats a .125 wall tube, pretty thick. i have some pics of the bike, there was a 1-2" scratch on the side of the uppers. nothing else. he said the cage took a beating, bike was flipping all over the place and nothing but the cage hit the ground.

if you want pics, ill post them up, just give me a day because i havent got them on my computer yet.

TEACH C6 will become famous soon enough
Re: 929 FI cage

FI cage will hit in the corners...i like it bc you can remove the loop in ten minutes.

i have a mxd track cage on as well, am hitting a track day with it tommorrow, so we'll see how it works...from what i can see, the thing looks really nice and wont hit the ground. still protects the stator on my zx

905 cages are tough as nails too, but they will also bottom out...a great full stunter cage though!

Re: 929 FI cage

the cages touch the ground before the covers do, thats pretty much the only thing we are concerned about protecting with our track cages.
