Have a seat on both of them.
One feels like an up to date machine, the other one feels like its 10 years old.

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

I believe the f4i is half racer, half sport tourer. The 600rr was made to be just a racer, which is why the f4i is more upright then the RR. I think the whole bike was designed completely different compared to the f4i. What's crazy is that the 600rr is heavier then the f4i.

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

LOL the 600rr is almost as heavy as any 1000cc bike.
Fiberglass tank cover = JUNK!! In my personal opinion, the bike is made for track ,other than that is a heap of crap. For those of you that have 600rr's dont get mad at me, it's just my opinion

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

first the 600rr feels way smaller. its got a way higher BP then f4i's cause of how set forword the engine is which means better lookin whoolies (f4i guys don't get angry) its got unit pro link suspension which means that rear end is allways workin against you so it makes u better on normal swing arm'd bikes. i think the 6rr looks better. the 6rr has like 20 more hp then f4i's, 6rr comes with a fricken 12v bar from the factory. when u ditch the cops u can do it with turns not speed on this bike cause its a corning machine. but if u half to u can leave ur f4i buddys in the dust. only bad thing is parts are expensive for the 600rr but in the next few months im sure its going to drop like crazy cause i see a new 600rr everyday in the scene practicly

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

Other than cosmetics, and ergonomics, a small horsepower difference, and the seat on the double R is more uncomfortable. You get used to that after awhile. Some jerkoff at another stealership (not the one I bought it from, lol) tried to tell me that the undertail exaust makes the seat uncomfortably hot, etc. He was trying to sell my buddy an R6. I hadn't noticed that it was THAT bad myself.........anyone else have problems like that??

Oh, yeah, and the tank cover........I'm on my second one, and it's already scratched as hell

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

tank looks prettier than the one on my 600RR, I cut out the top, flip it over, dented the tank and sewed it back on upside down---GSXRTIGGER told me how to do it. Works good and feels better than when I had grip tape on my tank. as for anything else, I like mine, but would probably have been alot easier to go with an F4i. Right now I'm having a hell of a time trying to consistently 12 my bike with a 12 bar. I've hit and scratched for about 3 feet and thats it so far!

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

the f4 and f4i are pretty much the same machine just updated looks and injection on the f4i

the rr is a whole different machine. completely raced out rear suspension that makes you have to work the wheely more than on the f4i, also the engine is way front and low to make it a carving machine

the f4i feels like you are sitting on top of it not in it
and the rr feels like you are sitting on a plank on top of the tank.

so different from a gixxer but i still love them

both are great just get whatever one you like more and can get cheaper

****** dont get the 04 f4i though they have a gay *** bananna seat that honda stole off my schwin from back in the day******

Re: diff. between 600rr f4 and f4i

I know a guy that has a 600RR and he loves it all he did to change it was mount the rear footpeg a little further back and he put clipons from a 900RR on ( fits right on to the 600RR forks ) all that does is raise the bars up a little so you don't feel like you're reaching so far down.

i don't trust anything other then grip tape, i'd much rather have torn pants then skin from somthing not holding as well. and i wear ****ies and they hold up fine to the grip tape..

ppffftt! griptape, buy a real bike and dent the tank in. With all the money you'll spend on new griptape and pants. You can make a payment on another bike
