Hand brake comfort

who has a nice easy pulling setup? i would like nice comfort so i can keep my index on my clutch and middle on the hand brake. i have plenty of length in my clutch cable and a moose e-z pull lever, does not pull like butter like others i have felt. pics would be great if anyone had them.
thanks guys

Re: Hand brake comfort

make sure you dont ziptie the cable against the frame or else the pull will be harder

u realize the righteous clutch is a copy of the msr right? i mean its made of better metal but they function the same.

anyway, try buying a new clutch cable, they do wear out and start to pull like **** and like the other guy said make sure there are no unnatural bends or kinks in the cable. should be routed as straight as you can get it.

also make sure the cable is in the hole closest to the bar on your clutch and that the adjuster is pointed to the setting closest to the bar if u know what im saying. theres a little needle pointer thing that aims the clutch adjuster in 2 or 3 positions and it has to be aimed to the hole that the cable is in which should be the one closest to the bar.

Re: Hand brake comfort

You should try to lube the cable. They sell a kit with the necessary tool and spray to do the job. It worked for me.

if the cable is old enough to need lube its best to just replace it for 30 dollars and not risk a cable snapping on you at the wrong time

post a picture of your handbrake/clutch set up. Let me see what could be wrong.

Re: Hand brake comfort

biggest problem with my hand brake is, it is not there. never has been, i love riding but do not put a lot of time in it. i ride street. i ride wheels for miles but, have only played in the lot a few times. trying to see if anyone had anything magical setup. lol
