Need some pointers vid of day 1

I have been riding a while, before i had a zx10r 2006 that i could go for miles on the highway, but i want to do slow stuff so i got a 636 and was playing around for the first time

The bp is very low

I cant get myself to use the rb insted of letting off the gas, do you think a hb might help me or what can i do besides keep saying break not gas witch is not working.

also the bike goes to left to right when going slow intil i hit about 20mph it is all over the place? Running 8-20lb should i go lower or higher?

I think i need to go just a tad higher and then use the rear break and i would be set what do you all think?

Check out the vid and let me know, Thanks

Re: Need some pointers vid of day 1

you look pretty comfy and at that speed you don't need the brake ,engine brake will work fine..

once you start snapping it up quicker your gonna need the brake because you will be going slower so i suggest you wheelie that whole road at the same speed you were doing in most of your wheelies in that clip and start hitting the brake just to see what it does and to get you use to using it..

8 pounds will make the bike wobble at faster speeds , i run 20 pounds

So you think i should just keep doing what i am doing and try to use the break for a while?

20lb wobble under 20mph

8lb feels good around 10-15 but then when i hit like 30 it goes crazy

all my friends say i need to catch idle and lean it back and quit going up and down the road so i am just trying to figure out what to do?

2nd gear with 20lb i can rock about 50-70mph with no break for a mile or so no problem

o the bike is up 2 on the rear stock front if that matters to anyone

I think i just need more seat time and learn the break..... and everything else will come

if its wobbling under 20mph and you are runnin 8lbs of pressure in your tire you dont have smooth throttle control

how fast were you doing them in the video??

Re: Need some pointers vid of day 1

What do you think i should do?

I few people at the lot today said i need to ride the break and take it back more

as for the side to side they dont get it? They think somthing is wrong with that tire as they said my throttle is pretty smooth, the 1 kid thought i had like 50lb in my tire lol i only have about 15lb in there now and its all over the place?

Let me know i am totally open for help i want to learn slow stuff and keep off the roads this yr and take it to lots

No a hb is only meant for off the peg tricks (Seat standers, Spreaders, high chair, etc.) if your right foot is on the peg then use the foot brake. An pretty much do what OMR suggested and start just pressing the brake to get used to it. After a while it'll become second nature and also you'll be better at pressing it how much you need and not slamming it.

Re: Need some pointers vid of day 1

The other night i said f it and turned the idle up, Took about 50 x but i can catch it for a sec only at 3k stock gearing, I was told to turn it up to like 5k to learn idle but i am afried to go that high as i know i will loop, But i still dont hit the brake when i really need it? I always hit it to late, I didnt flip but almost did once, figure i should learn it faster that way? I got a 12 bar and going only like 10mph shouldnt be too bad lol, I guess it will come with seat time....

Ill try to get some new vids up soon as i am more stable and higher

12 psi works best for slow above 30mph it goes crazy but i want to do lot stuff so its cool, plus the bike is only used to stunt, i have another for twisty and going fast.

I'm not that great at all and only recently started idles but I suggest not trying them until your good with the rear brake.

Re: Need some pointers vid of day 1

I know your right i shouldnt be doing it, but i think it will help with the brake? Also the idle is pretty low so i dont really catch it that long

If i bump it up to 4-5k i would loop for sure.

seat time once the weather gets nice and the cops chill out.
