New To Stunting, Need Advice!!!!

Whats good everyone, I am very new to stunting, I have always rode dirtbikes and quads so I am very comfortable on a bike but I have just recently gotten a 1999 Yamaha R6 that I would like to turn into a stunter I can have as a daily rider. Any advice, help, comments???

Re: New To Stunting, Need Advice!!!!

I'd suggest getting a good rear tire and a sick innovations cage. Other then a good rear tire to make sure that's not holding you back and a cage to protect the bike you don't really NEED any other parts. Learn smooth throttle control and most important of all rear brake. Rear brake if used correctly can pretty much open your game to a load of tricks or also save your ass. Look at this pic this guy goes this far back (purposely) and is able to bring it back with the rear brake.

^^^good point.

My advice would be to spend a GOOD amount of time on here searching and browsing and all the answers you're looking for are already here just need to find them. Start slow but practice hard. Don't kill yourself out there but go home sore.

LISTEN TO THE OG's they know their shit.

And don't even start if you are not prepared to destroy your bike and possibly get hurt in the process.

Re: New To Stunting, Need Advice!!!!

you will definitely need to learn the rear brake, i've been practicing lately just bringing the bike up and bringing it back down with the brake. Learn to smoothly come up and down, because if you just "pop" it up and come back down you will smash your fucking nuts.

Re: New To Stunting, Need Advice!!!!

I live near North side of Atlanta. I would trade my R6 for an F4I but I already have a lot of money and time into my R6 and plus I am fond of Yamaha's, that's all I've rode. So I am gunna stick with my R6, but can anyone tell me the "basic set up" for a street legal stunt bike? I know the crash cage, 12 bar, denting gas tank, rear brake lever, what sprocket set up would you go with and is there anything that I am missing?

On your R6 you should be able to go to a 14 in the front and up to a 50 in the rear, but if your going to keep it a daily driver dont fuck with the gearing too much.. personally Id go 1 down in the front and one up in the back or 2 up in the back.. when you put them new sprockets on get the 520 conversion, its only about 30 bucks more and it gets rid of that heavy ass 532 stock chain..
keep an extra clutch on hand, and like they said get a good rear tire, your gonna need it.. Im stunting a 96 Yamaha FZR 600, it was shit when i first started, they dont make any cage, 12 bar, or dampers for my bike either so i play it old school
