![]() | Re: 1998 CBR 900rr Im runnin a 99 900rr. Only thing different is i have -1 in the front makes things a little easier but not much different. I started doing sitdowns first and noticed i had to have the bike goin pretty fast to have the wheel come up and push itself up. I would go to about.. 6k on the tach and just dump the clutch n gas at the same time.. not very fun or worthwhile technique. I found that stand-ups (staggered preferably) is ten times easier. I could go as slow as 35mph or as fast as 65 in 2nd and bring it up with ease. Just keep your left foot on the passenger peg your right foot over/near the rear brake and the bike comes up very easily. I dont have to pull the bike or preload the suspension at all, and easy slip of the clutch and it hops right up for me. Feels awkward at first but its worth it when you learn to ride them down the interstate for a good mile or so :D Shout me a PM if you need anymore tips n whatnot. (Sitdowns 6-6.5k on tach - alot of clutch and gas) (Standups anywhere from 40-60mph - good amount of clutch less gas) Dont go crazy on the throttle on standups learn the feel of it coming up on you quick while your standing then add more as you feel comfortable. Doesn't matter how long it takes to do a wheelie, once you get them down the first few time they are easy. No rush or need to wreck the bike. Hope this helped Good Luck! Take it slow |
