The whole key is trying to keep the rear tire in line behind you. Keep practicing

I've tested and proven this, so it's a law. Gorka's law.
You look where you go and you go where you look. I would mess with people in stoppie comps where you'd mark their last run with a cone. When they turn around, I would move the cone back another 20 feet and their next run they'd put it down in what they thought was the exact same spot in relation to the cone....and I'd do it again. So, the answer to this is look as far as you reasonably can to the point you expect to roll to. Try it on your buddy.

NO i could be wrong but the questions i have seen you ask on here in the past 2 months tells me that you not rolling over 200ft stoppies therefore im not sure you should be giving me advice... Thanks.

Everyone else... JOhn, Gorka, etc. Thanks for the great advice. Its helping. they are starting to go straighter more often and looking ahead does really help. The shop i got my fork seals done at had my forks lower about 10mm and i put them back up to stock lastnite that seemed to help. Keep the advice coming if you guys think of anything else.
Im sure this tread is helping out alot of other ppl to so feel free to throw in anything you guys can think of. Thanks!!!

yeah, that is something i tell people sometimes and used to get myself better. i forgot to mention that. It does work though. good call schwartz.
and +100000 to what gorka said about looking ahead. I usually tell people that are learning to look at least 300 feet ahead, but once you are rolling straight and looooong, look out ahead as far as you can. We were once in a comp at Thompson drag strip (Starboyz stuntfest) and i was having a little trouble. We were rolling from the finish line toward the start line. Thew told me to look ahead, pick a target way out in front of you and focus on it. I asked him what we was using, he told me the scoring tower, which is behind the start line, about 1300 feet from where we were picking up. Yes, 1300 feet out, so i tried it and instantly went straighter and added about 50-100 feet to my longest ones! If you are looking at a target shorter than what you are capable of rolling, you will most likely only roll to that point.
shortGSXR1000 - Thanks for the props and keep it up bro. As far as suspension settings go, I forget which is top and which is bottom on that bike but it's okay cause they are marked. One will say "COMP" on it, that is your compression. You want that stiff (clockwise), experimaent with exactly what setting works best for you, but definately stiff. The other end will be marked "TEN" for tension which is your rebound. this is a little trickier, some guys like more, some less... I believe (and gorka please correct me if im wrong) that you should turn that stiffer (clockwise) as well which will slow your rebound down to eliminate pogoing.
The other thing you can do is turn the spring pre-load up. it is increased by turning the little caps (with lines, probably anondized) that are on top of the forks clockwose as well.
hope some of this helps
