Seadoo Issue

Anybody on here know a decent about about seadoo's? I just picked up a 95 Seadoo SP, hasnt been started in years and its been sitting outside to top things off. I see some stuff disconnected, i dont even know where to start with one of these things. Suggestions?

A shop manual & a new battery.

Post pics of what u see disconnected. I have a 96 GSX 787/800, replaced just about everything on it. Ours are very similar in design.

I used to have 96 XP's raced out. Make sure if the battery is good, then check the computer box (sometimes they short out/corrode/ect.) THEN check compression, spark, ext.

older Seadoo's are like mitsubishi eclipes. They run really fast and are alot of fun but ALWAYS break down at the end of the day

also check motor mounts, they break all the time (it;s just a peice of rubber glued to a metal plate screwed into the hull, if they shift at all you will break pump shafts and spin the impeller all the time

go over to PWCtoday.com they have lots of info on the older XP's and SP's
